-1H Titans +6
-1H Titans/Ravens under 23.5
This is my favorite play of the Divisional Round.
- I love both teams style of play
- The weather should be in our favor
- The play pays 2.57 to 1
Weather may be an issue in Baltimore on Saturday night with an 80% chance of rain and 16 MPH winds.
Both the Titans and the Ravens love to run the ball.
Baltimore ranked #1 in the NFL with 37.5 rushing attempts per game and Tennessee ranked #7 with 28.5 attempts per game.
The Titans have the #3 rushing defense according to pro football focus and the Raven’s boast the #3 overall defense according to footballoutsiders.
The Ravens may be rusty due to sitting starters in Week 17 combined with the Wild Card round bye.
I think we get a slow start and a running clock as both teams run the ball on a rainy and windy night.
If we are going under in the first half then I will gladly take the Titans +6.
The Titans are a revived team with Ryan Tannehill at QB as they rank #3 in weighted offensive efficiency by football outsiders.
The Ravens are the superior team lead by MVP Lamar Jackson but the ground and pound game should play into the hands of the Titans with dominating running back Derrick Henry and a high end rushing defense.
I do not think the Titans want to get into a shootout with the high powered Ravens offense.
If the Titans can control the ball to start the game we will most likely go under the total and stay within the 6 points.
I want to stay away from the full game to reduce variance and the possibility of the Titans having to play form behind in the second half and the score getting out of hand.
